Treatment Philosophy

We believe each person is a unique and worthwhile individual, and responsible for his or her choices in life.

Making appropriate choices can be compromised by mental illness, alcohol and other drug addictions. These problems do not define an individual’s identity, but are a component of the need for sweeping changes. We believe all individuals have potential for personal change.

Critical to positive, personal change is the development of honesty, effective coping skills, and rehabilitation in achievement of activities of successful living. Every day the cycle of addiction remains interrupted, forgiveness and courage have room to emerge. Hope is
recognized as a new companion.

Abstinence is not a requirement, but a goal. Recovery is a Process.

Treatment provides opportunity to initiate and apply necessary, fundamental changes.

If an individual continues to abuse alcohol and other drugs during treatment, it is not viewed as client failure, but as a therapeutic opportunity in the process of recovery.

An exploration of factors causal to relapse, and integration of the results to treatment team review and planning, serve the individual’s treatment process and goal of eventual abstinence.

During the process of cognitive behavioral therapy,   medically-assisted recovery support, and other therapeutic interventions, an individual experiences a rediscovery of self.

Our organizational philosophy and therapeutic goals converge at the point of integrated services treating the multidimensional needs of the individual.
